The UC Berkeley History-Social Science Project is hosting an NEH Landmarks workshop this summer. The institute will explore the WWII Home Front in the Bay Area, with particular attention to the role of women in the workforce, the incarceration of people of Japanese descent, and the munitions explosion that disproportionately impacted African American sailors at Port Chicago. Applications are due March 1, 2019.
