Feature Story: Metea Valley Chapter Remembers 9/11

Metea Valley High School’s chapter of Rho Kappa, in Aurora, Illinois, recently facilitated a school-wide patriotic rock garden in remembrance of 9/11 for Patriot’s Day.  Advisors Elizabeth Molla and Heather Weisenburger helped their chapter organize an opportunity for all students to come and paint a rock in a patriotic theme to honor those who were lost and those who serve our nation.  Over 270 students painted a rock during their lunch period and the rocks were then displayed in the shape of an American flag by the front entrance to the school.  The rock garden will serve as a permanent reminder to tribute to our service members.
