Teaching with Digital History (AHA)

The American Historical Association recently launched "Teaching with #DigHist," a new review series targeted at history instructors from primary to graduate school focused on how to use digital history projects in the classroom. Each review provides an overview of the project, ideas on how to use it in the classroom and sample assignments.
This is a free resource. The best landing page is: https://www.historians.org/teaching-and-learning/teaching-resources/teaching-with-dighist.

The first entry examines "ORBIS: The Stanford Geospatial Network Model of the Roman World" and discusses the ways it can be used to study late antiquity. Teaching with #DigHist aims to provide more opportunities for history instructors of all levels to further engage with the growing number of digital history projects. Any comments, questions or suggestions for further reviews welcome via email john.rosinbum@gmail.com or Twitter @johnrosinbum.,br> As the series progress, the AHA will add resources for Teaching with #DigHist that history educators at all levels and all types of institutions can use. Check out the ORBIS sample assignments and follow what comes next.
