These questions drive the four-day program of the NCSS 2019 Summer Leadership Collaborative:
- What compelling questions, authentic problems, and critical issues might guide the collective and informed action in achieving this mission?
- What might social studies leaders do together to create a world in which all students are educated and inspired for lifelong inquiry and informed civic action?
- What policy and advocacy efforts are needed to elevate the importance of social studies and civic education? How might leaders leverage social studies to promote diversity, equity and inclusion?
- How might NCSS and its Affiliated Councils be state and national leaders on race in education?
