101st NCSS Annual Conference Goes Virtual

101st NCSS Annual Conference Goes Virtual

After much deliberation, the NCSS Board of Directors has made the decision to host the 101st Annual Conference as a fully virtual event.

This was not an easy decision. While we are disappointed to announce another year of not seeing you in person, we are confident this is the best decision to ensure the health and safety of our attendees due to the increasing numbers of COVID-19 in our communities.

The NCSS 101st Annual Conference will be held online from Monday-Sunday, November 15-21, 2021. Last year we delivered the hottest virtual conference of the season, and this year will be no different as we focus on Solidarity in Social Studies.

Why an expanded week of professional learning? This year’s conference is designed with you in mind. It is based on what we have learned from hosting and attending virtual conferences. This is professional learning designed to fit your lifestyle. Our full week will provide you with the most engaging and comfortable environment to experience your best virtual event yet.

Our NCSS leaders and volunteers, and especially our collaborators at the National Council for Geographic Education, the Minnesota Council for the Social Studies, and the American Bar Association’s Division for Public Education, have worked tirelessly to provide a spectacular event for you, the largest gathering of social studies educators, administrators, and professional colleagues nationwide. While we continue to unveil new details in the upcoming days, we want to assure you that your willingness and flexibility to bear with us through the pandemic is recognized by all of us.

We look forward to providing you with fresh ideas and cutting-edge programs at the NCSS 101st Annual Conference you can use immediately in your classroom or school, plus providing you with the opportunity to connect online with your friends while actively learning, and hearing from keynote speakers that will motivate and inspire you to keep pushing through the pandemic! All on a brand new and exciting platform with archive access after the event through Spring 2022.
