On July 25, 1898, during the Spanish–American War, the U.S. invaded Puerto Rico. Puerto Ricans gained U.S. citizenship in 1917. 101 years later, the debate over Puerto Rico's political status continues.

The Global Exploration for Educators Organization (GEEO) is collaborating with Qatar Foundation International (QFI) to offer an all expenses paid trip to Qatar and Oman this winter. The first part of the program takes place in Qatar where you will explore the bustling city of Doha, visit the renowned Museum of Islamic Art, explore different ecosystems throughout the country and visit educational institutions to learn more about the country’s education system.
