Annual Conference Registration Information

Registration Details

Member: To qualify for NCSS Member prices, you must be a current member and provide your member number.

Join before or when you register and receive the special member rates, plus receive all the resources, information and support you need as a social studies educational professional. For more information on becoming an NCSS member, go to www.socialstudies.org/join/

Non-member: If you are not a member, memberships can be purchased with your registration at a special rate.

**Georgia and South Carolina residents: Educators in Georgia and South Carolina, and parts of Alabama, Tennessee, and North Carolina can qualify for special discounted individual and group rates. Contact rclausen@ncss.org for details and special registration forms. These rates are not available for online registration.

***Group registration:For groups preregistering five or more attendees for the full conference, registering at the same time, using one form of payment, and with confirmations being sent to one mailing address. To register as a group, you must mail or fax your registrations together; you cannot submit them online. Download the Group Registration form at the bottom of this page.

Student: This rate is for full-time students who are not currently employed as professionals in the education field.

Retired member: This rate is for retired professional who are not currently employed in the education field.

Spouse/partner: This rate is for spouses and partners who are not currently employed as professionals in the education field. Spouse/partner registrations are valid for all sessions and speakers, exhibit hall, social events, and shuttle service.

Presenter: All presenters are required to register for the conference.

Exhibitor: Each booth purchased comes with four complimentary badges. Additional badges are available for $125 and include access to the exhibit hall as well as all sessions and speakers.

Payment information:Full payment must be received with registration. Full payment includes payment for the registration fees, ticketed events, and any membership purchased. Acceptable forms of payment are check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and valid hard copy purchase orders.

Internet registrations are only accepted with payment by Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Fax registrations are accepted with a purchase order, or with payment by Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Other forms of payment must be mailed.

• Confirmations will be sent to each registrant.
• Registration is per person and registrations cannot be shared.
• Register and pay in full by October 16 and we will mail your registration materials to you. At the conference, simply show your name badge at the bag pickup table at registration and pick up your program and tote bag.

Cancellations:

• Cancellations must be made in writing by mail, fax, or e-mail by October 30, 2009.
• Registration fees will be refunded, less a $25 service charge, for any cancellation received by October 23, 2009.
• No refunds will be processed after October 23, 2009.
• Ticketed options will be refunded and attendees notified if canceled by NCSS.
