Ashanté Horton is the Meetings and Education Manager in the Professional Learning Department. In this role, Ashanté manages and facilitates various aspects of the professional development experiences provided, including webinars, workshops, and conferences.

Growing up with a mother who was a social studies educator, Ashanté developed a great appreciation for the teaching profession and finds it fortunate to have an opportunity to merge her career with her love of education.

A Washingtonian in the truest sense of the word, Ashanté uses her educational foundation started in D.C. Public Schools, later earning a Masters of Business Administration at Trinity University, to enhance over 13 years in the meetings and association industry. Over these years she has been primarily responsible for the management of customer care, registration, and meeting planning for conferences and workshops ranging from 25 to 5,000 attendees. The knowledge gained from her prior work experiences and education have provided Ashanté with the foundation needed for providing NCSS attendees with great conference experiences and excellent professional development opportunities.
