This webinar is designed for faculty or program coordinators charged with preparing NCSS/CAEP SPA Reports for national recognition and program approval.  This training will be especially beneficial to individuals who are responsible for teaching social studies methods courses, supervising social studies interns in the field, developing and administering assessments, and analyzing and interpreting data for social studies programs.

Participants will:

  • become familiar with the latest 2017 National Standards for the Preparation of Social Studies Teachers
  • understand the NCSS/CAEP program review process, submission requirements, and timelines
  • navigate the AIMS system and SPA report template
  • understand assessment and rubric/scoring guide requirements/guidelines and data requirements

Please note that reports based on the NCSS/CAEP Standards (2017) are required Spring 2020 for all initial and subsequent program report submissions. Programs who have received conditions, further development required, or probation in a previous cycle must continue to use the 2004 standards until all opportunities to submit revised/conditions reports have been exhausted.

NCSS Members $129
Non-Members $229

We encourage program report teams to view the webinar with their institution's CAEP coordinator. Registration includes a copy of the presentation materials.

All registrations are final. Once processed, registration fees cannot be refunded.
Training sessions will last for 1.5 hours (1:00-2:30 pm ET).
