A workshop, "Teaching the Vietnam War through Documents, Photography, and Poetry" will be held July 10-12, 2017, at the National Archives, Washington, DC.
The National Archives and the Academy of American Poets have partnered to produce a dynamic summer teacher workshop on the subject of the Vietnam War. Attendees will be guided through techniques for teaching about the Vietnam War that incorporate National Archives primary source documents, historical photographs, and poetry. Presenters include 2013 Inaugural poet and Academy of American Poets Education Ambassador Richard Blanco.
Workshop attendance is limited to 15 teachers and educators. The workshop fee is $100.
