The Global Exploration for Educators Organization (GEEO) is collaborating with Qatar Foundation International (QFI) to offer an all expenses paid trip to Qatar and Oman this winter. The first part of the program takes place in Qatar where you will explore the bustling city of Doha, visit the renowned Museum of Islamic Art, explore different ecosystems throughout the country and visit educational institutions to learn more about the country’s education system.
Then you will fly to Oman where ancient heritage melds beautifully with modern living. Overnight in the dramatic Wahiba Sands desert after visiting the Ras al Jinz Turtle Reserve to observe the endangered species’ nesting process. Visit Wadi Nakhr, also known as the Grand Canyon of Oman, to get even deeper into Oman’s ethereal beauty – natural and otherwise.
QFI is generously paying for international airfare, all meals, all activities and all hotels. They can only take 15 participants, so you must apply in order to be accepted into this program.
• The applicant must be a current K-12 teacher in a public or public charter school in the United States
• The applicant must demonstrate that he/she provides, or intends to provide, classroom instruction on topics related to the Middle East/Arab World
