West Seneca East Senior High School’s Ebenezer Chapter of Rho Kappa in West Seneca, New York recently facilitated an outreach to honor all former East Senior graduates who have served in the military. Through the use of the District Facebook page, former veterans were solicited to be honored. Rho Kappa students, with the advisor, Kara Welgoss, communicated with former graduates to collect and organize information. Twenty-three plaques were designed, created, and displayed in Veteran’s Way, a hallway dedicated to the men and women of East Senior who have proudly served. This service project will continue next year as well, to ensure that all veterans are honored.
