Owings Mills High School OM Eagle Chapter Hosts Events Throughout School Year

At Owings Mills High School, in Owings Mills, Maryland, the OM Eagle Chapter led by chapter advisor Ms. Lubold completed several service projects throughout the 2017-2018 school year, including: 

1. November 2017: Toiletries and Treats for the Troops. Junior and Senior members of Rho Kappa worked with the local VFW post 521 to collect toiletries and treats to send to a local Marine unit stationed overseas. This is the third year for this specific collection drive.  Each year a different military unit is chosen by the VFW.
2. December 2017: Holiday Cards for the VA.  Junior and Senior members of Rho Kappa wrote holiday cards for soldiers recovering at the Baltimore VA Hospital. Members of the local VFW post 521 hand delivered approximately 100 cards to the wounded and recovering veterans. This is the third year for this specific service project.
3. March 2018: Voter Registration Drive.  Junior and Senior members of Rho Kappa worked with the local chapter of the League of Women Voters to conduct a voter registration drive at Owings Mills High School. Students were able to register 47 students to vote in the upcoming midterm elections.
4. May 2018: Operation K9.  Junior and Senior members of Rho Kappa worked with the local VFW post 521 to collect dog treats and dog toys to send to military K9 units stationed overseas. This is the third year for this specific collection drive.
