Teaching Sociology and the C3 Framework

This webinar will introduce the sociology learning goals for College, Career and Civic ready students. In the first half of the webinar, sociologists will provide an overview of the four learning goals, the assessable competencies for each of the goals, and the connections to the C3 framework. In the second half, the directors of the American Sociological Association's High School program will present sample lessons.

Teresa Ciabattari is Director of Academic and Professional Affairs for the American Sociological Association, Washington, DC. Teresa is a former Professor of Sociology who has studied families, gender, and racial inequality. 

Diego de los Rios
Diego de los Rios is Assistant Director of Academic and Professional Affairs, American Sociological Association, Washington, DC. Diego has done research on culture, religion, and immigration. 

Hayley Lotspeich
Hayley Lotspeich is Director of ASA's High School Program, American Sociological Association, Wheaton, IL. Hayley teaches sociology at Wheaton North High School in Illinois. 

Chris Salituro
Chris Salituro is Assistant Director of ASA's High School Program, American Sociological Association, Lincolnshire, IL. Chris teaches sociology at Stevenson High School in Illinois.
