Please join us in welcoming Joy Lindsey to our NCSS team as our new Director of Marketing and Membership.
Joy is currently a marketing strategy consultant for the Association of American Colleges and Universities and recently served as the Deputy Executive Director for NICSA, an investment management association, where she evaluated membership recruitment, retention and engagement strategies. Previously, she served as the Membership Marketing Manager for the National Parent-Teacher Association, where she implemented a significant membership dues increase, captured 350,000 new member profiles and email addresses, created membership strategies gaining 44 chapters and a 52% male composition increase, and conducted a national research survey to produce a membership branding message and strategy. Joy also has experience as a Convention & Business Operations Account Executive and a Sponsorship Account Executive with the National Association of Broadcasters, and as a Local & National Sales Manager for Cox Media, where she was a leader of the launch team for Cox Sports TV Network in New Orleans (home of the Saints, Pelicans & LSU) and managed local and remote sales teams for Cox Markets.
Joy holds an M.S. in Advertising from the University of Illinois, Urbana–Champaign and a B.S. in Mass Communications from Jackson State University in Jackson, MS. She is proud to share that both of her parents were social studies teachers, so she has a strong passion and connection to our work, as well.
