The U.S. Department of Interior's Bureau of Land Management shares its three-activity teaching guide to help students find wild and scenic rivers, explore the history of the passage of the 1968 Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, and develop their own river-inspired poetry. Student Essay Contest: Civil Liberties & Human Rights  
The Kemper Human Rights Education Foundation is offering up to $1,000 in prize dollars to high school students in the U.S. and international students who answer one of three questions on American civil liberties and human rights. Students should apply by December 10, 2018. (Learn more)

Showtime's The Circus Co-Host Added to Annual Conference Speaker Lineup

Alex Wagner is co-host of Showtime's The Circus and a contributor to CBS News and The Atlantic. Formerly the host of MSNBC's Emmy-nominated Now with Alex Wagner, she has also authored FutureFace: A Family Mystery, an Epic Quest, and the Secret to Belonging.
