NCSS Member Spotlight: Wayne Journell
Wayne Journell, Ph.D. is associate professor and secondary education program coordinator at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and was awarded the NCSS 2018 Exemplary Research in Social Education Award for his research titled "Grabbing the Third Rail: Teaching Politics in Secondary Education." He currently serves as editor of Theory & Research in Social Education. In this TSSP interview, Journell touches on ways to navigate "fake news" and teaching politics in the classroom. (More here)
