Meet NCSS President India Meissel

NCSS President India Meissel recounts her path to the NCSS presidency and her vision for the future of NCSS and social studies. "The future is in our hands and it is a bright one at that," she says. Meissel was named 2006-07 Secondary Teacher of the Year, served as chair of the Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society Advisory Council, and was a member of the Board of Directors from 2012 to 2015 before running for NCSS Vice President.
