Elizabeth Partridge’s writing often focuses on politics, social justice, photography, and art. Her book, This Land was Made for You and Me: The Life and Songs of Woody Guthrie, was a National Book Award Finalist, and Marching for Freedom: Walk Together Children and Don’t You Get Weary won the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Young Adult Literature. Partridge lives and writes in an exuberant, messy three-generation household in Berkeley, California. Her upcoming book with over 100 photos, Boots on the Ground: America’s War in Vietnam, will be released by Viking Children’s Books, Spring 2018.
