Credentialed members of the media are eligible to receive NCSS complimentary media registration to access NCSS conference sessions, workshops, and the exhibit hall.  

To receive a complimentary media badge please upload a .pdf, .png or .jpg image file  of one of the following credential types:

Get an early look at the first confirmed speakers for the 2016 NCSS Annual Conference. Representative John Lewis, attorney and author Bryan Stevenson, Little Rock Nine veteran Terrence Roberts, and columnists Ruth Marcus and Michael Gerson headline the notable list of conference speakers. The Washington Housing Bureau is now accepting hotel reservations for the 2016 Annual Conference. NCSS has room blocks at several hotels in downtown Washington, all very close to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, offering special discounted rates.

The NCSS hotels have sold out each of the past six years, so don't delay in making your reservation.

The Call for Proposals for the 2016 Annual Conference is now closed. Thank you to everyone who submitted one of the more than 1200 proposals.

Notifications will go out to all primary presenters by the end of May. Please be sure to check your email and your spam box for notification from NCSS.

As you consider submitting a proposal for the 2019 NCSS Annual Conference, think about what a winning entry looks like from the point of the proposal reviewer and conference attendee so that you can turn your great idea into a successful proposal.

Name Badges

All conference participants must register, including chairs, presenters, exhibitors, and committee members. Badges must be worn at all times to gain access to conference sessions, exhibits, and events.

Tips for Attendees

Avoid the Rush and Pick up Your Badge and Materials Early!

The registration and badge printing lines will be busiest on Friday morning between 8:00-10:00 a.m. Wait time could be an hour or more at this time. Registration is open until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, and at 6:30 a.m. on Friday morning. Pick up your badge or materials on Thursday evening, or before you grab your coffee on Friday!
