Nikki manages the Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society, which currently has over 500 chapters in 38 U.S. states and 4 countries. She also serves as the NCSS staff liaison to the Rho Kappa Advisory Council. Nikki is excited to support our existing chapters and grow our Rho Kappa community in the coming year. 

Nikki previously held several roles at the Close Up Foundation in Washington, DC, most recently as the Manager of Curriculum and Training. In that role, she directed the development of curriculum design, managed the design and implementation of Program Instructor training and coaching, and oversaw academic outreach. With Close Up, she presented at the NCSS 2015 and 2016 Annual Conferences.

Nikki began her career as a substitute teacher in Michigan, and she has a lifelong passion for social studies and civic education. Nikki holds a B.A. in Comparative Cultures and Politics (French minor) and Michigan secondary social studies teaching certification from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI.
