Write About Your Classroom Lesson

Dear Educator,

Having your article considered for publication can be an informative and rewarding professional experience. I especially encourage classroom teachers to write up their work and submit a paper. The links below can help you get started on your way to being a published author in Social Studies and the Young Learner.

Sincerely Yours,

Linda Bennett, Editor

A Call for Manuscripts invites you to submit a manuscript, telling you how to begin and which themes are scheduled on the editorial calendar.

Guidelines for Social Studies and the Young Learner give you the nitty-gritty on how to prepare your manuscript and accompanying art or photographs, as well as where to send everything.

Tips for Authors include a checklist showing the features that editors and reviewers will be looking for in your paper.

A Peek at the Current Issue shows the cover of the most recent journal and describes the articles within it.

Conference Archives provide handouts and other materials given out at recent sessons on "best practices in the elementary grades" at NCSS Annual Conferences.
