Golston to Begin Term as NCSS President


Silver Spring – July 1, 2009 – The National Council for the Social Studies is pleased to announce that Sydele E. Nominations for NCSS Board of Directors


NCSS is seeking candidates for Vice-President, and the Board of Directors. Nominees are also needed for the Fund for the Advancement of Social Studies Education (FASSE) board. You may nominate yourself, or recommend a colleague member who has experience as an affiliate council or associated group leader. Recommendations may be sent to any member of the nominations committee.   --> read more »

NCSS Conference Registration Scholarships for First-Time Attendees


NCSS is pleased this year to offer a limited number of conference registration scholarships to teachers who have never been able to attend its annual meetings in the past for lack of financial support. All teachers from Colorado who meet the qualifications are eligible to apply.
