National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) is seeking a highly qualified, motivated, and engaging Executive Director. Starting salary: $110,000.

Qualifications

All candidates should have proven leadership and staff management experience. Concrete demonstrable experience and other qualifications include:

NCSS/Affiliate Council Membership Programs

NCSS offers two programs to affiliate councils for increasing NCSS and affiliate memberships. 

Brokering

Membership brokering applies to the recruitment of new members or former members when membership has lapsed for a full year.

Please join the NCSS Board of Directors for its "Listening Tour" about NCSS. The board cares deeply about the voices of NCSS members and wants to intentionlly listen.   At the Listening Tour Sessions, you will have an opportunity to share your hopes and dreams for the future of National Council for the Social Studies, as well as your concerns. The board sessions are held in Exhibit Hall B, behind Classroom "A".
