"One Place, One Time: Jackson, Mississippi, 1963"

"One Place, One Time" is a National Endowment for the Humanities Landmarks of American History and Culture Workshop offered in Jackson, Mississippi, by Millsaps College and the Eudora Welty Foundation from July 14-19 or July 21-26, 2013. The workshop will focus on the year 1963 in the city of Jackson and will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the murder of NAACP Field Secretary Medgar Evers. Open to full-time and part-time classroom teachers and librarians in public, charter, independent and religiously affiliated schools, as well as to home schooling parents. Those selected to participate will receive a $1200 stipend. Application deadline: March 4, 2013.
