Bring “international” into your classroom!
Join U.S. and international colleagues July 7-16, 2010, at the 15th annual International Studies Summer Institute for teachers of grades six and above, hosted by Indiana University (NEW DATES!). Explore topics relating to global environmental change, global food security, international trade, populations at risk, and/or conflict resolution. Exchange views with international experts through a variety of sessions, including lectures, simulations, panels, and interactive communication technologies. Share lesson plans, ‘best practices’, and resources with colleagues from around the world. Learn new methods for integrating global issues into your classrooms. Experience the world through evening cultural experiences of film, food, and music.
Participants will receive free resources and certification for professional education credits, and may elect to earn graduate credits at in-state tuition rates. Teachers are accepted on a first come, first served basis. A nominal Registration and Technology fee of $200 is required and covers all costs for the institute – see our website for further details.
