Cudos to the state of Maryland for reversing the trend away from social studies education. According to Scott McComb, the president-elect of Maryland Council for the Social Studies, the legislation[which reinstates an assessment in government to be able to graduate ] "will help stem the marginalization of social studies in Maryland."
