Theme: Research & Practice in Social Studies Education
Please join us at the 2009 CUFA Membership Retreat in Charlottesville, Virginia! Sessions will relate to a broad theme "Research & Practice in Social Studies Education" and will include opportunities for formal and informal conversation about a) our work as teacher educators; b) our work in (and evaluation of) professional development; c) developing collaborative research agendas. Sessions will address the status of research in these areas and will provide opportunities to talk, at a practical level, about our teaching (infusing social justice into our teaching, sharing resources/syllabi, challenges faced in teaching preservice teachers), research (across all topics, developing collaborative relationships), and involvement in professional development (TAH evaluation, Center for Civic Education, etc.).
