Session 1.8: Integrating Action Research and Self-Study into Social Studies Teacher Education and Professional Development
This session will provide participants with information about action research and self-study, including relevant research methods and an overview of recent research within our field. This session will also provide a space for research planning and informal discussion among social studies teacher educators. The overarching aim of the session is to explore current initiatives to integrate action research and self study into social studies teacher education and ways to leverage this work to help answer persistent issues in our field.
