NCSS Annual Conference: Hotels

NCSS has arranged special rates at several downtown hotels, all conveniently located within blocks of the San Diego Convention Center. Reservation information will be available online in Mid-July and by mail through the Conference Preview.

A. Omni San Diego Convention
This full-service deluxe hotel opened in April 2004 with 511 guest rooms. Located directly across from the Convention Center, a skywalk connects it to the new San Diego Ballpark. The hotel is one block from the historic Gaslamp Quarter and six blocks from Horton Plaza and Seaport Village. Guest rooms offer a spectacular view of the San Diego Bay and/or the downtown skyline and high-speed Internet access. The hotel also features a complimentary fitness center, an outdoor heated swimming pool, restaurant, and business center.

B. Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter
282 guest rooms, which include 24 beautifully furnished suites. Amenities include dual phone lines with data ports, voice mail and call waiting, high-speed internet access, spacious executive desk, mini bar, full-size iron with ironing board, hair dryer, full length mirror, in room movies, a coffee/tea presentation and breathtaking cityscape and harbor views. A park-like setting is unique to the hotel, offering guests the opportunity to relax amid flourishing palm trees and foliage. Anchored at the gateway to the Gaslamp Quarter, the Hilton is within walking distance to the region’s finest restaurants, boutiques and specialty shops such as Horton Plaza Shopping Center and Seaport Village, with its waterfront activities. $155 Single/$155 Double


C. Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego
Located on San Diego Bay just minutes from the airport and numerous attractions, boasts luxurious guest rooms, breathtaking views, and resort-style amenities. Guests will enjoy amazing views of the San Diego Bay from our 1,625 luxurious guest rooms (95 are suites). San Diego’s location makes it an ideal year round destination. Few demands will be put on your wardrobe with an average temperature of 70 degrees. $260 Single/$285 Double


D. Embassy Suites Hotel San Diego Bay Downtown
The hotel is located four blocks from the Convention Center. Embassy Suites guests are treated like VIPs with spacious one-bedroom suites. These are not standard-sized accommodations. Every suite features a private living room with a sleeper sofa, wet bar, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Complimentary amenities for all guests include: airport shuttle service, daily cooked-to-order breakfast, a nightly Managers’ Reception and use of the fitness room. For spectacular views of San Diego harbors the bay view suites are available for a nominal surcharge. $199 Single/$199 Double


E. Westin Hotel San Diego
Located in the heart of beautiful downtown San Diego, the crystalline towers rise as a landmark to the city. Each of its 436 guest rooms offers a stunning panoramic view of the bay, the Pacific Ocean, Mexico, and Balboa Park. The hotel is five short blocks from the Horton Plaza Shopping and Entertainment Complex, as well as the Gaslamp Quarter. The hotel features over 80 restaurants and lounges. Because rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis, we urge you to make your hotel reservations at the same time that you register for the conference. Please avoid reserving rooms that you do not need, as rooms are limited in number. A first night deposit will be required to guarantee a guest room or suite reservation.
