Volunteer Opportunities at NCSS Annual Conference

NCSS conference volunteers receive a one-for-one match of their volunteer time to attend the conference at no charge.  This is an economical way to participate in the conference, and provide some much-needed help for its success.  If you volunteer for a full day, you can attend the conference for no charge for a full day.  Volunteer for half a day (four hours) and you can attend the other half at no charge.

If you want to attend more of the conference beyone your one-for-one match, you can register at a special discounted rate for that time.

Guidelines for Proposal Reviewers

Thank you for volunteering to serve as a proposal reviewer for the NCSS Annual Conference. The following guidelines are designed to help you through what we hope will be an interesting and painless process. Past experience suggests that most people are able to complete their reviews in one or two short sessions.

You must be logged in with your NCSS account. For login help, click the Recover Password tab on the login screen, check your bottom of your registration confirmation, or contact NCSS at 301-588-1800 or to request your username and password.

Click the link below to add your resources. On the add conference session resource window that opens:

1. Enter the title of your session. This is a required field, but is only for reference, and will help you find this entry later.

Complimentary Media Registration

Credentialed members of the media are eligible to receive NCSS complimentary media registration to access NCSS conference sessions, workshops, and the exhibit hall.  

To receive a complimentary media badge please upload a .pdf, .png or .jpg image file  of one of the following credential types:

Committees and House of Delegates

NCSS conducts official business at the Annual Conference. Unless otherwise noted, meetings of the House of Delegates, operations committees, and other NCSS work groups are open to all NCSS members interested in the governance of the Council.
